Now that you’ve started your team, what’s next?

Here are a few tips to get you started and get everyone excited about the Walk!

• Set a goal. Set a goal for your team and encourage your team members to set their own personal fundraising goals.
• Create a theme for your team. Super heroes, pirates, rock n’ roll whatever inspires you get creative and have fun!
• Communicate with your team. Send regular emails to your team through your participant center you can update everyone on your team’s progress, provide encouragement and plan fundraising activities.
• Hold team fundraising events. Bake sales, lemonade stands, restaurant fundraisers the money you raise can be credited to your team’s fundraising total.
• Use social media. Encourage your team members to post updates and ask for support on Facebook and other social media sites. This is a great way to raise awareness for your team and help you reach your fundraising goals.

Team Captain Kick-off Events

Join us at one of our kick-off events, for lunch or dinner, and gain valuable tips for recruiting team members and fundraising. You will also have the opportunity to register your team, pick up your team captain packets and hear an amazing story from one of our patient families. Complimentary parking will be provided.

Pre-Registration & Packet Pick-Up Event

All team captains will be responsible for picking up their team's T-shirts and bib numbers from the Packet Pick-up Event or on Walk morning at 6:30am. Team captains will need to communicate with their team members when and where they will receive their packets.

Packet Pick-up Event: Wednesday, September 30, 1:00pm - 6:00pm, Rady Children's Medical Office Building, 3030 Children's Way #113

Please Note: If you plan to pick up your T-shirt and bib number on walk morning, they will be sorted by last name, not by team name.
